Personal Biography
Yolanda Ward is a native of Shreveport, Louisiana. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Master of Social Work degree from Clark Atlanta University. She specializes in child and family therapy with a sub-specialty in school social work.
Yolanda is professionally trained in youth and family interventions. She is dedicated and compassionate to treating the needs of youth and young adults. Her specialty has her providing individual, family and group therapies. She is a creative thinker, consensus-builder and a highly effective problem-solver who understands both the power of self-care and finding life balance. With a genuine passion for helping young minds flourish, Yolanda brings her expertise to support and empower adolescents and young adults facing various challenges. Armed with a MSW and 20+ years, Yolanda employs evidence-based techniques to foster emotional growth and resilience in youth. If you or your young adult need a guiding hand through life’s ups and downs, Yolanda is here to lend a listening ear and provide a safe space for healing.
Also, the co-founder at St. Paul Leadership Academy, a 501(c)(3) non-profit in 2005, her program offered structured after school care and summer camps for high risk youth. She also provides fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance. Assisting, advocating for, and mentoring disadvantaged students during their matriculation from freshman year in high school through completion of college. Her personal hobbies are working out, golf, roller blading, and traveling.
